Three more actors have joined the cast of New Line Cinema's exorcism flick
The Rite. Alice Braga (
Repo Men, Predators, I Am Legend), Ciaran Hinds (
Eclipse, Harry Potter) and Toby Jones (
Frost/Nixon) have joined Anthony Hopkins and Colin O'Donoghue for the big-screen adaptation of author Matt Baglio's
The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist. The film is being directed by Mikael Hafstrom (
1408, Derailed) from Michael Petroni's (
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Possession, Queen of the Damned) screenplay.
The movie focuses on on "a seminary student who attends exorcism school and Hopkins will play an expert in exorcisms. Hinds and Jones will portray priests."
With Hopkins and Hinds in the film, it should have a classy vibe to it. It shouldn't turn out to be a piece of schlock. I'll definitely be seeing it.
